    The kitchen backsplash is fashioned with subtle angles and anchors the surrounding walnut cabinetry with its attractive sea glass color. A spacious island provides a generous eating area that works well for casual entertaining.

    An interior wall was removed in the family room to allow natural light to illuminate the rest of the home. A new wall cabinet system in a rich walnut now provides for plenty of storage as well as a nice focal point.

    This home features many unique characteristics, one being the original lava rock found on the living room fireplace wall. To update the space, a concrete plaster surround was added to create a modern accent in the room. The floating harth was also refinished to match the original terrazzo flooring in the home.
