A Designer's Dream Hampton’s Style Home In Orange County And Los Angeles County

Inspired by the elegant Hampton’s Style home that is common in the New England coast, this ground-up custom home build in the Los Angeles area features an attached collector’s garage, daily-drivers garage and workshop. The home seamlessly combines traditional east coast charm with a contemporary floor plan that is popular in Southern California. The home is casual yet sophisticated and feels bright and breezy with plenty of natural daylight and crisp white woodwork.

The exterior of this home is a classic example of Spanish Revival Style. The remodel ensured that its characteristic terracotta shingle roof, historic tiling, and sculpted stucco walls were preserved and enhanced. To refresh the look, we repainted the stucco a creamy white and adorned it with vintage cast iron lanterns, gates, and other ornaments. The windows are painted a deep green to complement the red clay roofing.

This home was custom built specifically to match the needs of our clients and the landscape of the lot. Windows, door panels, and stained glass were strategically placed to maximize natural light and views of the property. Fire risks were addressed by crafting the characteristic shingles and trim with fire-resistant materials.
