Major Remodel and Expansion of San Marino English Tudor Home
euclid Residence
The Euclid Residence project began with a clear challenge: a family had outgrown their home’s original footprint, but the bones were worth preserving. The design response was a two-story home addition that didn’t just add space. It reorganized the entire household flow. On the first floor, the existing mud and laundry rooms were removed to allow the kitchen remodel to breathe. The result is a layout that positions a farmhouse sink overlooking the backyard, creating a moment of daily joy. Relocating the oven freed up a natural corridor that became a butler’s pantry and full walk-in pantry, a storage solution as refined as it is practical. The new family room addition opens the first floor outward, linking living space with a brand-new covered patio for seamless indoor-outdoor living — a highly sought-after feature in today’s daily living. Upstairs, the former primary bedroom was extended and fully reconfigured. The addition converted an unused balcony into a larger, more purposeful suite, complete with a luxurious primary bathroom, a relocated laundry room, and a more private and formal bedroom entry that signals arrival into a personal sanctuary.
