Orange County Contemporary Beach House Remodel

We transformed this Newport Beach home’s closed-off spaces into a hip, spacious kitchen living area that showcases its views of Newport Coast’s ocean, canyon, and city lights with a luxury remodel. The original kitchen felt small and constricted, in part, because of a bulky island and peninsula that prevented a clear connection with its surrounding areas. The new design focuses on function and a more transitional style that blends contemporary aesthetics with classic and traditional style details. The beautiful Carrara Quartz backsplash brightens the room and complements the custom-made paint used on the upper walls. This contemporary beach house design accentuates the calm and earthy tones within the space, and the Clift Seeded Glass Pendants are used in a subtle green hue that is anchored above the island. In the breakfast nook, a corner bench offers the coziness of a booth and the ability to enjoy the dramatic views. The dark navy colored seating beautifully contrasts the bright colors used throughout the rest of the kitchen.
